Mika Graviet

I am a Couples and Family Therapist with a commitment to humanistic, trauma-informed care. My experience in critical care has taught me how to sit with profound grief and trauma while also honoring resilience and connection that emerge even in the most difficult seasons of life. My clinical passion is supporting couples and individuals navigating trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

About Mika

My first career was as an ICU nurse, where I've spent five years walking alongside patients and families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. That experience shaped the therapist I am today — it taught me the power of simply being present, sitting with people through pain and uncertainty, and caring for the whole person. I believe our minds, bodies, relationships, and life experiences are deeply connected, and all of these pieces matter in the healing process.

I approach therapy from a humanistic perspective, inspired by Carl Rogers’ belief that each person already holds an innate capacity for growth, healing, and connection. I truly believe that you and your body are the experts of your experience. My role is not to tell you what to do or have all the answers, but to walk alongside you as we explore your story, understand your patterns, and help you reconnect with what matters most to you.

If you and your partner feel misaligned, you are in the right place. I have accumulated over 200 clinical hours providing couples therapy, supporting couples navigating areas such as communication, conflict, intimacy, infidelity, co-parenting, and more. I approach couples work using attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My priority is creating a space for both partners to feel heard and witnessed, so you can truly see one another and reconnect.

If you feel misaligned within yourself, I can help you find your way back. I help individuals moving through issues such as anxiety, depression, acute and chronic illness, or trauma, and I am passionate about healthcare burnout and medical trauma. I integrate approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and somatic techniques to support deep healing and connection.

*As a welcome, new clients beginning therapy with me by October 31 receive 10% off sessions during their first three months of care.
