Mika Graviet

I am a holistically minded Couples and Family Therapist with a background in ICU nursing and a commitment to humanistic, trauma-informed care. My four years in critical care sharpened my ability to remain grounded in
high-stress environments while supporting individuals and families through crisis. I am passionate about helping couples heal, strengthen attachment, and build healthy relationships through ethical and collaborative practice.

About Mika

My first career was as an ICU nurse, where I spent four years supporting patients and families through high-stakes medical crises. That experience taught me the profound importance of emotional presence, crisis management, and a holistic approach to nurturing the whole person. I believe therapy brings together my passions, honoring the inseparable connection between mind and body.

I approach therapy from a humanistic perspective, inspired by the belief, like Carl Rogers, that each of us already hold the innate wisdom, love, and capacity to heal ourselves and our relationships. My role is not to direct your life or provide the answers, but to help you achieve alignment with your authentic desires and values, because I believe that you are the expert of your experience. I strive to be a supportive guide, helping you navigate what’s holding you back to feel more aligned with yourself.

I work experientially, integrating approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic techniques. I have clinical experience working couples through challenges including trauma, premarital therapy, communication, intimacy, co-parenting, divorce, and infidelity. I also work with individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and other life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, creating a safe and empowering space where you feel supported and understood.
